Event Description:
Due to COVID-19 related school closures in Oregon, MESD SHS is offering Severe Allergic Reaction training via a live, VIRTUAL format. Legislation in the state of Oregon allows a means of authorizing certain individuals to administer life-saving treatment to individuals suffering from a severe allergic reaction. You must be 18 years of age or older to take this class. After taking the class and meeting the qualifications you will be certified for epinephrine administration as needed in an emergency situation. You must have authorization from your school district to attend this training. Please contact your supervisor or building administrator if you have any questions. Please note this is a LIVE, VIRTUAL meeting. After registration, Julie Hering will send you an email with further instructions, including your training packet and link for the Zoom meeting. It is imperative that you register with your current email address, please update any changes-- jhering@mesd.k12.or.us will assist you if you need help making those changes. •If you have signed up and cannot attend, please call 503-257-1746 or email jhering@mesd.k12.or.us to cancel. The training will start at the time posted. Those who are more than 5 minutes late will not be allowed to attend and will need to reschedule. •The class is approximately 90 minutes in length and you must be in attendance for the entire class and your video must be on for the entire class to receive certification for the course.
