Blended CPR First Aid for New and Renewal- 3/08/21 3:30PM at MESD

Eligibility for enrollment to the First Aid/CPR class is limited to Portland Public School staff who have been asked by their administrator to become certified. The course is blended two-part training consisting of 30 self-paced online modules that should take about 2 to 3 hours to complete, AND a one hour in-person skills demonstration being held at the MESD building on March 8th at 3:30 PM. Be prepared to get down on the floor to actively demonstrate your CPR skills. Do not sign up if you are unable to kneel for an extended time. These in-person skills demonstrations will be held in the MESD Auditorium in groups of 6 people. With public health in mind, we will implement these precautions: ** Each participant must wear a face covering the entire time. ** Breathes will be simulated instead of doing actual breaths during this time of COVID-19. ** 30 minutes will be scheduled in between sessions to allow adequate ventilation and disinfecting of surfaces. ** All training items will be used by only one person during these sessions and properly sanitized later-- THERE WILL BE NO SHARING OF ITEMS BETWEEN SESSIONS.
